News 8 released a new video of the La Jolla landslide nearly two years ago. A city-hired contractor was recording as Soledad Mountain Road first buckled. The city came up with the eight-minute video to use as part of its defense in the case, but elected not to show it. Instead, lawyers representing homeowners submitted it to the court as their own evidence.
